Dreamhost doesn’t offer Microsoft SQL Database and Classic ASP. I don’t care about mySQL and PHP.

Hosting of websites has become an increasingly popular business and it has become difficult to tell between a quality and inferior company, just from the looks of it. The pricing structures, core features and plans are almost the same with most hosting companies. In fact, opting a cheap hosting company is not a cost-effective method, especially in terms of long-term results. Reliability is one aspect hat comes into play here or else it could cost your website loss of sales as a result of downtime. The process of selecting a quality web hosting company therefore is like sifting for a needle from a haystack. One prominent aspect that cannot be overlooked however is the reliability of the hosting provider. In the web hosting industry, this reliability equates to redundancy. This ensures that if a problem exists at one point, there will be an alternative, which ensures continuity as seamlessly and transparently as possible. In order to address issues, most of the hosting providers employ redundant network connections. These comprise of high-speed pipes that route data from the server to your web browser.

Can Symantec End point Protection 11 be installed on Machines that already host Ms. Active Directory 2008 or other machine hosting Ms SQL 2008?
Yes it can.
Best not to but if you have no free servers then best to put it onto the Active Directory server as SQL needs a lot of processing power and RAM.
Usually 1 server per application as a rule unless you use VMWare.
I have recently setup an account with fasthosts and created a MS SQL database, trouble is i have no idea where to find a tool to access this database, as i am used to working with MY SQL, i have tried the web data admistrator but that need .NET framework 1.1 which i am running Vista so i can’t do that, even if its a php script that i upload and can type in the information and access and edit the information that way, im not sure if fasthosts use MS SQL 2000 or 2008
those two i have tried and the second is for MS SQL 2005, the top one requires .NET framework 1.1 which i cannot install
I’m pretty sure they upgraded to 2008, you could use:

I have a Microsoft access database and I want to convert it to a MySQL table, but Microsoft access is asking me for the SQL server host, username and Password.. which ones should I use and what’s the server address? my website is : gerard.xxxxxxxxx.net and it uses cpanel manager and it has phpMyAdmin to manage the databases also.
You will need to enter the username and password for your MySQL database. If you are using a local server (your machine for example) just click on Start – Run and type cmd to bring up a command window. Type ipconfig and press enter. From there you should see your machines IP address. If your MySQL server is located someplace else bring up the command window again and type ping followed by a space and the name of the server (gerard.xxxxx.net for example). That will give you the IP address of the server. Be careful though if it is a dynamic IP as the number could change.

Hosting of web sites has essentially become a commodity. There is very little distinguishing one hosting company from the next. Core plans and features are the same and price is no longer a true determining feature. In fact, choosing a host based on the cheapest price can be more expensive in the long term with respect to reliability issues and possible loss of sales as a result of website downtime.
Selecting a host from the thousands of providers and resellers can be a very daunting task, which may result in a hit and miss approach. But although hosting may have become a commodity, one distinguishing feature that you must always look out for is reliability.
At the heart of any hosting company’s reliability is redundancy. This ensures that if a problem exists at one point, there will be an alternative which ensures continuity as seemlessly and transparently as possible.
Most hosts do employ redundant network connections. These are the high speed pipes that route data from the server to your web browser.web hosting reviews
