Dear friend, take into consideration that web hosting is a global service, it is not important you are located in Au, UK, Ca or US. And also the cost of hosting services in UK & Au generally is a little high in compared with the same services in CA & US.

try 1&1, fasthosts or lycos. These are all EU based and all offer fairly low cost hosting that supports PHP/MySQL.

I’m UK based and I have used all of the above and they are all OK.

They all offer a control panel that lets you set up your databases and they let you add various PHP/MySQL based tools such as CMS and other portals very easily.

I have been using Lycos as my main hosting provider for several sites I run for 5 years without any problems.
